2. Data We Collect

We collect and process the following data:

  • Email addresses: When you sign up for our newsletter or the Founding Member program, we store your email to notify you about product updates and the launch.
  • Payment data: When making a Founding Member purchase, payment data (e.g., credit card, name) is processed directly by our payment provider LemonSqueezy. We do not store any payment data ourselves.
  • Technical data: During signup, we collect your language preference and marketing parameters (UTM data) if you arrived via an advertising link.
  • Usage data: Anonymous usage statistics via Plausible Analytics (cookie-free tracking).

2a. Legal Basis

The processing of your email address for the newsletter is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at hello@chatbricks.io or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

The processing of your data in connection with the Founding Member program (purchase, email address, language preference) is based on contract performance (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

2b. Storage Duration

Your data (email address and associated contact data) is stored for a maximum of 24 months after your last activity. After this period or upon your deletion request, your data will be completely removed within 30 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@chatbricks.io.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

We use your data exclusively for:

  • Notifying you about product updates and the launch
  • Processing Founding Member purchases and sending confirmations
  • Improving our service (anonymized analytics)

4. Contact Form

When you use our contact form, your name, email address, and message are processed to respond to your inquiry. This data is used exclusively to handle your request and is not stored for other purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to customer inquiries).

5. Email Service (Resend)

We use Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) for email delivery and contact management. Your email address is stored there to send launch notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Email tracking: Resend may track whether and when you open our emails (open rate) and whether you click links. The following data is processed: time of email opening, IP address, and device information (browser, operating system).

Legal basis: Processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) to measure and improve the effectiveness of our email communication. You can object to this data processing at any time by contacting us at hello@chatbricks.io.

6. Hosting and Storage

Our website is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Data is stored on EU servers and encrypted using highest security standards.

7. Data Processors and Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. Your content is not used to train AI models.

To provide our services, we use the following data processors:

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Hosting and storage. Data is processed exclusively on EU servers (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Resend (Resend, Inc.): Email delivery and contact management. Resend uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for email delivery.
  • LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC): Payment processing for Founding Member packages. LemonSqueezy processes payment data (credit card, email, name) directly – we do not store any payment data ourselves.

7a. Data Transfers to Third Countries

Resend and LemonSqueezy are based in the USA and process data there. Data transfers to the USA are based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR) and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensure an adequate level of data protection. 8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectify incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Delete your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner (www.saechsdsb.de).

9. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. Plausible Analytics is fully cookie-free and GDPR compliant. We only store your language preference locally in your browser.
